FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
DC Republican Committee Announces Official 2022 Primary Slate
Washington, D.C. – (April 11, 2022)
The DC Republican Committee would like to congratulate and introduce our official primary candidates for the 2022 election cycle:
Stacia Hall, Mayor of the District of Columbia (Ward 3 Resident)
Nate Derenge, Chairman of the Council of the District of Columbia (Ward 8 Resident)
Giuseppe Niosi, At-Large Member of the Council of the District of Columbia (Ward 2 Resident)
David Krucoff, Ward 3 Member of the Council of the District of Columbia (Ward 3 Resident)
Clarence Lee, Ward 5 Member of the Council of the District of Columbia (Ward 5 Resident)
Nelson Rimensnyder, Delegate to the U.S. House of Representatives (Ward 6 Resident)
Patrick Mara, Chairman of the DC Republican Committee, noted, “The DC Republican Committee has not fielded more candidates in municipal races since the 1980s. We are excited to work in partnership with our candidates and to support grassroots efforts to bring more ideological balance to the District government. It is likely that the DC Council has never been as far leftwing and unchecked as it is today. Our elected leaders have long pandered to liberal national special interest groups. If you like increasing taxes with no public input; decreasing our police force with massive crime spikes, breaking national records in population declines over the last couple of years, and keeping our kids out of school for far too long, then continue electing extremely liberal Democrats and Socialist unaffiliated elected officials. If you are concerned with the state of the District and think we can do better, then please take a look at our Republican candidates.”

The DC Republican Committee is composed of registered Republicans living throughout the District of Columbia in all eight wards nominated and elected to serve as members.
