Advisory Council
The Advisory Council, a pillar of the DC Republican Party, comprises our Party’s most knowledgeable and active members. Their advice, participation in issue task forces, and attendance at briefings and receptions are invaluable. They also drive our fundraising efforts for candidate recruitment and support, Republican outreach and engagement, and general operating expenses.
In 2023, with our Advisory Council’s support, we hosted five presidential candidates and held a very successful Republican Presidential Primary over three days in March. The Council’s financial contributions allowed us to secure top-tier venues, provide comprehensive media coverage, and organize effective campaign strategies. As a result, we have seen a significant engagement with new Republicans throughout the District.
The Advisory Council’s support has been pivotal in our candidate recruitment and support efforts and has significantly contributed to the unprecedented surge in our grassroots volunteer engagement. This year-on-year increase in engagement is a clear testament to the changes we are collectively driving in the District, and a direct result of the Council’s influence and your individual impact. Our work has led to increased engagement of Republican voters, demonstrating the tangible difference we are making in the community.
The speaker series is just one of the many exclusive benefits of being an Advisory Council member. We provide 8-10 dynamic, high-level Republican speakers. In addition, members enjoy exclusive access to networking events, policy briefings, and campaign strategy sessions. Last year, Advisory Council Members had the privilege to meet presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, former Governor Asa Hutchinson, and former Governor Nikki Haley. They have also heard from speakers such as Senator Marsha Blackburn, Sean Spicer, Chairwoman Ronna Daniels, Rep Tom Emmer, Rep. Kat Cammack, Rep. Garret Graves, and Rep. Don Bacon, amongst a few others.
Advisory Council members will also have access to the Chairman, who plays a crucial role in shaping the Party’s direction. You will receive advance notice of events, and options for VIP access. In addition, the Advisory Council meets with the Chairman twice a year to discuss the direction of the Party.
The Advisory Council meets four to eight times a year at receptions to hear from a prominent Republican.
Annual membership dues are:
- $500 Junior Membership under the age of 35
- $1,000 per person over the age of 35
- $1,500 per couple
