Become a Delegate

Are you interested in representing the DC GOP at the 2024 National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin? Have you thought about becoming a delegate?

What is a delegate? Are individuals who are chosen to represent the DC Republican Party at the National Convention to vote for the presidential nominee. At the National Convention, the party officially selects the presidential nominee and adopts the national party platform.

A presidential candidate will need to secure a majority of the delegates to win the Republican nomination. A majority is currently estimated at 1,235 delegates.

The DC Republican Party is allocated 19 delegates and 19 alternate delegates.   
The Republican National Convention will be held July 15-18, 2024, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Becoming a Delegate:

In the 2024 cycle, the delegate process will only require an application to be completed. The application MUST be completed in full by Friday, March 8, 2024, at 5:00pm EST. Applications received after 5:00pm will not be eligible for consideration.

The application must be completed in full, with the required attachments to be considered for nomination. If you neglect to answer a question or do not add the required attachment, the application will be considered incomplete and ineligible.
