Advisory Council

The Advisory Council has been the backbone of the DC Republican Party. Composed of some of the most knowledgeable and active members of our Party, its members offer advice, participate in issue task forces, and attend briefings and receptions. It also serves as our fundraising mechanism for the party for the purposes of candidate recruitment and support, Republican outreach and engagement, and for general operating expenses.

In the past, the Advisory Council was honored to hear from speakers such as Senator John Thune (R-SD), Senator Tim Scott (R-SC), Senator Thom Tillis (R-NC), Former Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-GA), former White House Chiefs of Staff Andrew Card and Reince Priebus, Chairman House Committee on Foreign Affairs Ed Royce (R-CA), Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (RCA), RNC Chairwoman Ronna Romney McDaniel, Congressman Tom Cole (R-OK), NRCC Chairman Steve Stivers (R-OH), Chairman House Rules Committee Pete Sessions (RTX), Congressman Steve Chabot (R-OH), Congressman Trey Hollingsworth (R-IN), Congressman Ken Buck (R-CO), Congressman Mark Meadows (R-NC), Congressman Rodney Davis (R-IL), Congressman Billy Long (R-MO), Congressman Sean Duffy (R-WI), political pundit David Frum, and many others.

The Advisory Council membership typically includes several former Ambassadors, elected officials, senior lobbyists and other prominent members of the community. Former Senator Bob Dole was a member at one time.

The Advisory Council meets four to eight times a year at receptions to hear from a prominent Republican.
